Bates is a nice guy, but by lord, this class is boring! It has the pteintoal of being an extremely interesting course, but Bates is so incredibly dull- it is difficult to stay awake in his class. There are two big papers, one final exam, and at least 4 pop quizzes throughout the semester. I wouldn’t recommend this class.
